Hot Tenting part 1 Pre-training
I got all parts to my Hot Tent gear in late November and I went outdoors to do the pre training in daylight. It was enough of snow so I could have all gear in my big expedition sled. The tent was still in its original pouch and the stove didn’t take much place, so I had all stuff packed in a IKEA bag. I did a lot of research about the right hot tent model and found one via YouTube. One Tigris Rockdomus got the most points of all. The tent is aprox 2x3 meters and easy to use in forests. Tepee was also an option and I might get one. The 1-2 persons tepee is smaller – and the hot stove produces then more heat compared to the tent size. Rockdomus – large Alaska hot tent style tent. Large indoors, 2 can sleep easy in the tent, up to 4 persons is possible without backpacks. Possible to use camp beds in the tent.
